Consulting Analyst, Financial Close (BlackLine)

Location:

  • Clearsulting is headquartered in Cleveland, OH, with additional offices located in Chicago, IL; Columbus, OH; and Dallas, TX. 
  • Office Options: Hybrid. For team members residing within a 45-minute commuting radius of a Clearsulting office, we expect 8 days of in-person work per month, allowing flexibility in choosing these days to accommodate client meetings, team syncs, and individual schedules.
  • Travel Requirements: Up to 40%

What You'll Do:

  • Support financial close transformations, including reconciliations, reporting, and other key processes.
  • Contribute to team deliverables by identifying data inconsistencies, analyzing trends, and proposing preliminary recommendations.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet client expectations and project deadlines.
  • Participate and provide meaningful insight in client engagements involving assessment, finance transformation, and implementations.

What You'll Bring:

  • At least 1-2 years of experience working with BlackLine.
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant professional services or accounting industry experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data manipulation.
  • Familiarity with financial systems and applications, such as Salesforce, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI.
  • Basic understanding of GAAP principles and standard accounting practices.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with a proactive mindset.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • 1+ year of professional work experience with Trintech T-Recs.
  • Experience with FinancialForce or similar systems.
  • Basic knowledge of process automation tools.
  • CPA and/or other accounting-based certifications.
  • BlackLine certifications.
